Do you always start your elf season with good intentions of being prepared and organised, only to end up running out of ideas or completing forgetting the elf half way through December? Don't worry, I do too and I have literally hundreds of elf ideas on my blog and still have nights where I go completely blank and throw something random together last minute.
Well, not this year my friends! I'm determined to actually write down and plan out my ideas on paper instead of relying on my overwhelmed Mum brain to magically remember them all during the Christmas chaos. I've created a free printable elf planning kit that includes a calendar, idea planner and ideas checklist, so nothing can go wrong {hopefully}. Good news is you can all use it too.
MAKE PLANNING ELF IDEAS EASIER
Every year I come up with heaps of new ideas to make the elf season fun for the kids. Then life gets busy, as it does in December, and I forget half the props I need, or go blank and completely forget some of my brilliant ideas. My brain is usually swirling with ideas during September and October then poof they start disappearing by December 1st when I actually need them.
My problem is I record them mentally instead of physically, which comes back to bite me. So this year I've decided to write them all down and get all my props printed or bought and organised before December. I may even sort each day into separate ziplock bags with the date added.
PRINTABLE ELF PLANNER CALENDAR
My free printable elf planning kit comes with 2 versions of an elf calendar for December. These are great for people who want to see things visually planned out on a calendar. It includes a blank calendar that you can fill out with your own ideas, and a pre-filled in calendar.
The pre-filled calendar includes 24 different elf ideas for December 1st through to December 24th. Each of these ideas are designed to be super easy and can be done with items you already have at home. They're perfect for families with young children or if it's your very first year of elfing and you want to start out easy. PRINTABLE ELF IDEA CHECKLISTS
I know some people prefer to write lists {myself included} so I've also included 3 different elf idea checklists in the planner. There's one pre-filled checklist with 42 different elf ideas which include one column of easy/nice ideas and one column of naughtier/funny ideas. You can pick and choose which ideas suit your children the most and then tick them off once they're done.
I've also included a blank copy of the checklist if you want to copy some of the pre-filled ideas and write some of your own, or come up with your own list of ideas. The idea planning table allows you to write out each idea by date and include a list of items that will be needed, so you can make sure you have all props you'll need before that date.

Click on the download template button below to get your free printable elf planner, calendar and ideas list. The file is an A4 PDF. You can print as many copies as you need. If your elf arrives before December 1st simply print an extra copy of the blank calendar, checklist or idea planner so you have enough space to fit all your ideas.
