Do your kids love Bluey too? Bluey & Bingo have been firm favourites at our house since the show first launched. In fact I'll let you in on a secret.... I often watch it even when the kids aren't around!

Bluey lives in Brisbane Australia with her little sister Bingo, dad Bandit and mum Chilli. The Heeler family love imaginary play and are experts at turning ordinary moments like bed time, grocery shopping and dinner time into fun games. Whether they're playing keepy-uppy, shadowlands or being flossing grannies, Bingo and Bluey are always having fun.

HOW TO INCORPORATE BLUEY REFERENCES WITH ELF ON THE SHELF

This Christmas, you can use your Elf on the Shelf to sprinkle a little Bluey magic into your home, by recreating favourite Bluey moments or scenes from your kids favourite episodes. Your elf can bring the Heeler family’s playful spirit to life each morning with these fun Bluey elf ideas and the best part is lots of them are interactive ideas where the kids can get involved too.

Bluey Advent Calendar

If your elf {or elves} normally arrive with an advent calendar, there are plenty of Bluey advent calendar options they can bring including:

Bum Worms

Bluey bum worms elf idea.

Got an itchy bum? You might have bum worms! Being a dog, Bluey and her whole family are unfortunately prone to getting bum worms! The elves can get bum worms too using sour gummy worms, or if they want to be really gross, actual fake worms.

Magic Xylophone

Set up the elf with a toy xylophone, or a real one if you have one, and leave a sign saying tap the magic xylophone to freeze and unfreeze your parents.

Sticky Gecko

Bluey sticky gecko idea

Sticky gecko is one of the most relatable episodes because of the sticky geckos included in this set at Kmart that always get stuck to the roof. If you're Australian you'll know exactly what I mean.

If you're not in Australia you can get these sticky geckos instead. The elf can bring some sticky geckos so the kids can recreate the gecko stuck to the ceiling {sorry not sorry}.

Keepy Uppy

Bluey keepy uppy elf on the shelf idea.

The elves can bring the kids an inflated balloon so they can play a game, or lots of games, of keepy uppy. Remember, don't let the balloon touch the ground.

Shadowlands

Print off or draw some fake shadows and set them up with the elf and Bluey characters trying to get from one to the other playing shadowlands.

Grannies

If you have 2 elves dress them up as Rita and Janet by wrapping them in purple and red face washers and put them in a toy car so they're driving like the grannies. Even better if they're crashing.

Nice Parking Spot Rita

If you only have one elf you can dress them up as Janet with some toy cars crashed into the Christmas tree and a sign that says nice parking spot, Rita!

Slipped on Mah Beans

Dress the elf up like Rita wrapped in a purple washer and position her fallen over next to a can {or cans} of baked beans. You can also add a note saying ahhhh slipped on mah beans!

Long Dog Scavenger Hunt

If you're a long time fan of Bluey you'll know that in each episode there's a hidden long dog. Finding the long dog has become a fun game for fans and the elf can recreate that in real life for your kids with this printable long dog set. Print off the long dogs and hide one in a different spot in each room of the house. There's even printable dollar bucks you can give the kids once they've found them all.

Dollar Bucks

The elf can bring the kids dollar bucks for real life, well maybe not completely real because they're made of chocolate, but they still look cool {and I'm sure the kids will love eating them}. You can get dollar bucks coin stickers here or here. If you prefer a note version you can get 50 dollar buck notes here.

Chattermax Hide and Seek

If you have a Chattermax toy, the elf can hide it somewhere in the house and the kids will need to go and look for it, just like when Bluey has to find Chattermax after being distracted while playing hide and seek.

Dance Mode

bluey dance mode elf idea.

If you have the Bluey lights and sounds playhouse you can use the dancefloor section with Bluey figurines and the elf to make them dance like in dance mode. Move the green control stick to make them dance. Even better if you play the song dance mode in the background.

The Floss

Wrap the elf in dental floss with a note saying is this how you do the floss?

Pass the Parcel

If you have a child with a December birthday, the elf can bring the pass the parcel gift. Will the elf wrap it using Lucky's Dad's rules with only one prize in the very last layer?
