FREE PRINTABLE TEACHER THANKYOU POSTER GIFT KIDS CAN FILL OUT
This teacher thankyou poster is a twist on traditional teacher thankyou cards as I combined elements commonly found in colouring pages, questionnaires and thank you cards into one personalised poster.
It can be used by children in kindergarten, foundation or prep all the way through to students in their last year of primary or elementary school. It's a great way for younger children to practice their handwriting and colouring skills.
The questions students need to answer are:
- You helped me learn....
- You're the best because...
- You always say...
- 3 words to describe you
- The best day of school was...
- A picture of us.
Each section on the sheet has a corresponding image or outline children can colour in so they can get creative decorating their sheet. The a picture of us polaroid frame can be used for them to draw a picture of themselves with their teacher, or you can cut out a printed photo of them and tape or glue it into the picture section.
Children can be very literal, or very imaginative and both can result in some funny answers to the questions included. No matter the outcome, it'll give their teacher a permanent keepsake of their personalities and what they loved about the school year {even if some of the answers end up hilarious}.
1. Print out the thank you for being my teacher template on paper or cardstock. If you print it on paper I recommend laminating the sheet, or framing it once your child has finished filling it in.
2. Get your child to answer the list of questions. If they can't read or write themselves yet ask them the questions and record the answers for them. Older children should be able to fill in the questions themselves.
3. Decorate the banner and images {optional}. The banner and images on the page have been left black and white to allow children to colour them in or decorate if they want to.
4. Fill in the photo section. Either have your child draw a picture of themselves and their teacher directly onto the sheet, or use a copy of a photograph and glue it onto the sheet.
5. Laminate the finished poster {optional}. I recommend this step if it was printed on paper, to allow for longevity so it doesn't get ruined over time. Alternatively you could frame it.
