Hi, and welcome to Finding Myself Young,

I'm so glad you stumbled across my little patch on the internet. Now you're here, you'll probably want to know a bit more about me, right? Well I'm assuming that's why you clicked on my about me tab, so let me give you a quick rundown of how my blog came about and where I'm at today.

I started my blog back in 2012 while I was going through the process of getting divorced from a very controlling man. It was a stressful and frustrating time, but at the same time I was glad to be free – so I started a blog about it. I really feel that through the process of leaving my marriage I started to find myself again after years of feeling trapped and lost, so I decided on the name Finding Myself Young, because that’s what I was doing. This was {and still is} my place to get my thoughts out of my head and onto paper {or at least a computer screen} where, for some reason, they make more sense. This is my free therapy. Read more about how I found myself again here.

In addition to my divorce, I haven't had an average life so my blog probably isn't your typical mummy blog. In fact I started my blog before I even had kids so I kind of fell into being a mummy blogger. Here you'll find posts about happiness, love, relationships, family, loss, infertility, as well as pregnancy, babies and all the ups and downs of parenting a toddler going on teenager.

Fast forward a few years and I'm now engaged to an amazing man and in 2013 we welcomed our first child, affectionately known as bub, after a long infertility journey. She certainly kept me busy and highly entertained as a baby and continues to entertain me as an almost 5 year old, although with a lot more sass! In 2017 we welcomed her little sister, baby girl, after another long and emotionally draining fertility journey. For many reasons beyond our control we now feel our family is complete despite initially wanting three children, so for now there'll be no more babies. I've got my hands well and truly full with these two already.

So here we are, it's 2018 and somehow I've been blogging for over 6yrs now, which is pretty much forever in blogging terms. Admittedly, I don't blog as often as I'd like to {because kids}, but I'm hopeful one day I'll be back to doing it more regularly again.

I don't know what's going to happen in the future, but I'm looking forward to it. Grab a cuppa and join me on my journey.

Toni x
