This week bub and I got to spend an awesome morning at the beach with some of my friends. It really is the nicest way to start the day outside playing in the fresh air with the sound of the ocean in the background. We went down to the sand and she immediately started digging a trench underneath her. Not so good for her new dress, but she had heaps of fun. She seems to have developed a slight fear of the water though when its moving so we just stayed on the sand this time, we'll tackle the water another day when its warmed up a little more.

It's funny you know all my wee ones weren't lovers of the beach until they were a bit older - you're a good mumma
ReplyDeleteWe pretty much lived at the beach before we had her so I think its engrained in her genes :)
DeleteHow good is it that we're able to start spending more time outside and at the beach now that Spring is shining down it's rays? My little guys are pretty wrapped about it. Fingers crossed time for the water isn't too far away!
ReplyDeleteYes! I've been waiting so long to get back to the beach.
Deletemy kids keep asking to get to the beach. I'm waiting for warmer weather. Looking forward to it! Cute photo.
ReplyDeleteWe've only been twice since she was born 14 months ago, but I'm hoping to make it a regular thing now shes a bit older and its getting warmer.
DeleteMy girls love the beach, and the surf. A little too much, my youngest just walks straight in! I'm going to be so busy watching her this summer :)
ReplyDeleteI'm secretly liking the fact shes afraid of the water because it makes me less anxious knowing shes not likely to randomly make a bee line for the waves at any second.
DeleteHow awesome is it that the weather is warm enough for the beach again. I can't wait for summer. She looks like she's going be eating sand all summer, lol xx
ReplyDeleteHa, she ate it for the first time the other day. I think she kinda liked it so I can see its going to be an ongoing thing.
DeleteNothing better than some time at the beach!!
ReplyDeleteI am always surprised at how sand ends up eveywhere!!
Oh god yes it was all through her nappy and her pram is covered in it too.
DeleteMy boy didn't like the water the first time he went either. I've come to realise that it doesn't matter if it's in or out of the water, the kid always finds something to amuse themselves.
ReplyDeleteYea I think she's just really intrigued by the sensory play in the sand. She loves the texture of it.
DeleteYour bub is ridiculously cute! I've loved seeing her growing up on the blog!
ReplyDeleteI got in the sand with Mr 5 on the weekend and it was great. We built a huge sandcastle with a moat. I'm not sure who loved it more, me or him!
Oh yea I can't wait to build sandcastles with a moat! So many cool things to look forward to as she gets older.
DeleteRosie loves the beach! I'm so glad she's past the eating sand stage tho, those nappies were awful!
ReplyDeleteNaw. Loving the warmer weather too :)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous pics. I remember my boys fascinated by sand and dirt too.
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking up.
