We had a little reading session this morning after she woke up. Its so hard to take a photo of her while I'm reading to her and shes pointing and pulling at the book. I was going to settle with an out of focus fuzzy photo, but then something really cute happened. When I went to make her bottle I was watching her and she crawled over to the book, opened it and sat there studying the pictures. So I grabbed my phone and snapped this photo.
13 | READING
- I caught her reading her book when she thought I wasn't watching -
{her version of reading anyway}

Naw, that is just adorable! She looks so intrigued by that book!
ReplyDeleteShe sat there for about 5 minutes just staring at the pages. It was so cute.
DeleteYAY for books, my new plan to get them to 'read' more is to leave them lying around the floor instead of stacked tidily on a shelf. Not so great for my stress levels though
ReplyDeleteYou would think they'd want to pull them off the shelves to mess them up??
DeleteI love to see little ones getting into books! My daughter always has a book on the go :)
ReplyDeleteI loved books when I was young and it looks like she will too :)
DeleteIt can never hurt starting to read to them early and the fact she was reading by herself is a really awesome thing! We did with our first and admittedly our second is nine months and I haven't started the routine of reading yet, must get to it.
ReplyDeleteWe still do it a bit sporadically at the moment, but when shes a bit older we'll start the book before bed routine.
DeleteWhat a gorgeous pic. She is taking it all in :)
ReplyDelete:)
DeleteI'm following along, and I am soooo going to get to posting this week I promise!
ReplyDeleteYay!
DeleteThis is such a great picture. I have a little bookworm, but I never borrow the pop up books, just the board books. I cannot trust my two year old!
ReplyDeleteYea I have a feeling the two pop up books we have won't stay that way for long if she gets her hands on them when I'm not around.
DeleteIt is totally true ! Very hard to get a photo when you are trying to read to them - well done. Cute pic!
ReplyDeleteYep! So hard.
DeleteWhat a great idea...then at the end of the year look back on the hashtags...lovely!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it the cutest watching them study pictures of a book? It always looks like they're actually reading. I never get tired of watching them. Love your little one's chubby thighs. Yay for bargain book finds!
