52 WEEKS OF MEMORIES | 19 - WITH MUM

Mother's Day this year wasn't ideal for me. When I was offered a date for my colonoscopy and agreed I didn't even consider that it was the day after Mother's Day. Until about a week before when I realised this meant I'd be fasting and drinking the disgusting bowel prep drink all day. Ugh. It was probably the most unbearable day of my life... and the fact that everyone was posting photos of breakfast in bed and the celebratory dinners they were having just made it worse. Of all the days for me to fast it had to be the one day of the year there's pictures of food everywhere! So needless to say we didn't do much this year, but we did still have snuggles on the couch.

  2. That's such a cute photo! What a shame your colonoscopy fasting day coincided with Mother's Day! At least it is over now which is a big plus. Next Mother's Day you will be feasting on yummy stuff! ;-)
