52 WEEKS OF MEMORIES | 39 - A MOMENT

I'm so glad that the weather has started to warm up and we're having such sunny days because that means more beach time! In the past week bub and I have already been to the beach twice. Yes twice! That's two out of the three times she's been to the beach in total in her whole fourteen months. I can see we'll be frequenting the beach a lot in the coming months.

Each time we go she gets a little more daring and a little more adventurous. She's a very tactile baby and absolutely loves the sensory play in the sand. This time we also started to collect shells. It was her first experience with shells and she was quite fascinated by them. She was turning them over and over in her hands, then handing them to me... and yes eventually she tried to eat them too (like everything that she touches).

  1. I live at the beach and had a friend visit with her kids last year. They were picking up and collecting all sorts of stuff I usually ignore. A nice reminder about the smaller things kids appreciate.

    1. I'm lucky she stays relatively still at the beach so I can actually get some cute 'non zooming' photos of her.

    2. Hallelujah for sunshine and beachy times. We went to the beach last week too and the boys were so contented to thrash about in the sand and paddle at the waters edge. It was really lovely to watch them soaking up the essence of spring and the outdoors. Bring more of it and we'll be happy right?
