Mummy Must Have | Little Peeps Clothing

If you know me in real life, or follow me on instagram, you've probably worked out by now that I have an addiction. I'm addicted to shopping. More specifically I'm addicted to clothes shopping. Working in a department store for years kind of set the ground work for my addiction and I've had no problem feeding it since. I'm happy to say though that these days I rarely buy clothes (or anything) for myself. However, I'm not cured of my addiction - its simply shifted.

You see now that I have a baby, I mean toddler, I've discovered just how cute baby clothes are. Have you ever been in the baby clothes section? So much CUTE! And the most awesome thing is that babies grow so quickly there's a legitimate reason to buy more clothes all the time! Although I don't really need an excuse. Now that shes going into size 1 its even more fun because I can shop in the baby section and the little girls section - double the clothes woohoo.

One of my latest discoveries is the brand Rhubarb (which I found online via Little Peeps Clothing). Rhubarb is an Australian designed brand that was established in 2003. They create classic, simple and stylish designs for boys and girls. Which is exactly the type of clothes I look for when shopping. I love buying clothes that I can mix and match with numerous pieces so that I can get the most value for money and Rhubarb clothes definitely seem to be designed with this in mind. These are the pieces I chose from the girls range.

Rhubarb Spliced Tee

I love the fact that this tee has three colours as it means it can go with so many of her different bottoms. So many outfit options from the one tee. It can be layered with a singlet or jacket on cooler days and its lightweight enough to be worn during autumn and spring as well. The sleeve length is slightly long for her still, but if they're getting in her way I just turn back or scrunch up the ends to make little cuffs.

Rhubarb Denim Jeggings

These jeggings are seriously gorgeous. They're like little mini jeans for your bub, but made from ponti fabric so nice and stretchy in the legs unlike denim. Have you ever tried putting real denim jeans on and off a baby for nappy changes? Its so frustrating. I have somewhat of a denim obsession and I'm doing everything in my power to try and pass this on to my daughter (at least while I can control the clothes she wears).

Like I said these jeggings are gorgeous, but unfortunately my bubs big butt is too big. Well technically its not too big, its mainly her nappy and her chunky thighs. I can get the jeggings on, but its a struggle to get them over her nappy. The way she moves about and throws tantrums at change time theres no way she's sitting still long enough for me to get them on without an epic battle. I decided its not worth the effort, as much as I really want her to wear them. Theres nothing wrong with the jeggings themselves, its just to do with bubs proportions. My advice, if you also have a bub with overly chunky thighs, would be to go the next size up to what your bub is currently wearing because the waist part of the jeggings is quite firm and doesn't stretch much.

Rhubarb Tweet Romper

Bub sleeps in a long sleeve onesie and sleeping bag at night so as soon as I saw this romper I knew it'd be great for her pj's and also stylish enough for her to wear during the day, for the days us girls just wanna stay in our jammies all day. This one is a little big in the length still, but I expected that given shes just moving into size 1. It still fits enough to be worn as pjs (except it doesn't take her long to work out how to unroll the sleeves once shes awake). It's size 12-18 months and shes only just 12 months so we'll get lots of wear out of it yet. It was super hard to get a decent photo of her in this one because she kept moving around so much (story of my life lately).

{one sleeve up, one down - thats how she rolls}

Rhubarb Heart Romper

Firstly let me say, hearts and polka dots, whats not to love here?! She looks so dam cute in this romper! Even if I do say so myself. I love when shes just wearing the romper and no pants and I can watch her little chubba legs walking around the place. At the moment its relatively cold here so I layer it with a pair of pants, but I managed to get some photos of her legs for this post. Again this one is slightly big on her, its also a size 12-18 months. The rate shes growing though I doubt it'll take long for her to fit into it properly.

All of the clothes have washed and worn well to date and now that shes walking (and climbing) all over the place they're getting a good workout. Rhubarb is a great brand for basic clothing options for both boys and girls and they're affordably priced.

Are you addicted to shopping like me?

    1. I figure if I don't spend a huge amount on each piece of clothing then its not that bad? I used to buy pieces of clothing for myself that were $80 each just because I saw them at work, so I figure I'm still saving heaps of money even though I'm buying her a lot of clothes.
