52 WEEKS OF MEMORIES | 20 - MOVING

Bub is most definitely on the move. Shes been crawling for two months now and almost the same week she started crawling she quickly progressed to cruising along the furniture. She loves being upright as much as possible. The only time she really crawls now is to move from one piece of furniture to the other when she can't reach to walk there. She's constantly letting go while standing and we can see her mind ticking over thinking about taking steps all the time. She hasn't taken a step by herself yet, but will walk with someone holding her hands. She's also really good at zooming along with her walker. I say zooming because its much faster than walking pace. She gets so excited she almost runs along with it. When she was only 3 months old a paediatrician at the hospital told me she'd probably be walking by 9 months and I'd say she's not that far off it. I don't mind if she waits just a little longer though, she's growing up way too fast as it is.

    1. She's so perplexed by how the bigger kids can do things she can't. It's so funny watching her studying them trying to figure out how they're doing everything.

  2. Wow walking at 9 months, that's very early - my youngest walked at 10 months and I have to say it was hard work :)

    1. She's ten months tomorrow so technically she won't be walking by 9 months thank god. I'd say we'll be lucky if we go another month without her walking though.

  3. Lol, my kids had only just started crawling properly at around 9 months! It is so cool when they do get moving, they love it.

  4. Oh they really do grow up too fast! My little firebrand Chiara was walking (and by walking I mean running) by nine months, the lazy gremlins were closer to 16 months.

  5. I'm so glad my boys didn't walk till over 1yr - I'd have been worn down completely with their mischief.

    1. I can't imagine having to run after two at the same time regardless of what age they started! You are superwoman Trish.

  6. It's happening all so quickly hasn't it, Toni? Grace has been cruising around the house as well and pushing on her walker, chairs, stools and whatever she can find. I'm not in a hurry for her to start walking either, but these babies seem more than eager to get to places. sigh.

    1. They sound so similar. She uses the activity table, high chair, play shopping trolley and empty boxes as walkers as well as her actual walker. She took the bulk pack of toilet paper for a walk today!
